Multnomah County is providing "Skip the Fire, Love your Lungs" yard signs to raise awareness about wood smoke and air pollution. Smoke from woodstoves, fireplaces, bonfires, firepits and outdoor fires include fine particles and substances that are harmful to health and contribute to air pollution.
Smoke from these fires is dangerous to everyone’s health, and especially to those with respiratory issues. If you have another heat source, please skip it! This action protects air quality and health.
